Make a Flipping great travel wallet for your next trip

Happy family in airport

There's nothing worse when travelling than not being able to find important documents. Keeping track of passports is one thing, but storing - and being able to quickly and easily find - flight or accommodation details in a hurry is another. This is compounded when travelling with kids, when a whole separate set of documents is needed!

Cue the travel wallet.

But not just any wallet, the Flip File travel wallet. It's light, streamlined and perfect for not only keeping important documents safe, but enabling you to locate and view them in a flash.

The best size Flip File to use is A5, as this can be easily slipped into your carry-on luggage. If you're worried about your Flip File bending, simply reinforce the front and back covers. These pockets are also open, allowing you to add extra cardboard into them and customise the covers with pictures or plain coloured paper as needed. Travel

Then, place all your important travel documents like your passport, unabridged birth certificates for kids, health certificates and boarding passes in the very first sleeve.

Next, fill the sleeves that follow with accommodation booking confirmations, important addresses you've printed off for reference, conference booking confirmations and tickets for excursions that you've prebooked for the kids.

Don't forget to include emergency contacts, and your local doctor, medical aid and travel insurance information too (especially if you, or anyone in your family, has a chronic illness or suffers from allergies).

Because you can see through the plastic sleeves of a Flip File, this critical information can be immediately accessed in case of an emergency, saving you time.

Speaking of transparency, another great reason to use Flip Files when travelling is that you can keep upcoming conference schedules or travel itineraries for the duration of your trip inside each pocket so they're easily visible at all times.

For A4 sheets of paper, fold them in half (text side facing outwards) and insert them into the A5 pockets, one sheet per pocket. Place these in the order of the days they're taking place. This makes it easy for you to look up details should you need to confirm dates or events while in transit, when accessing your laptop or phone might not be possible.

If you're travelling with kids, you can give each of them their own A5 Flip File to fill with pictures or keepsakes from their trip. Use one pocket per day to display their artwork, ticket stubs and instant pics taken on their travels.

If you're worried about anything falling out of the pockets of your Flip File, use foldback binder clips at the top of each pocket to keep them closed. Use different colour clips to segment your paperwork for easy reference.

And just like that, you have a handy, simple to use travel wallet that protects your documents from moisture and damage, keeps pages separate, and ensures each one is visible, without having to scratch around for them in your luggage!

Just another reason to flip for your favourite Flip File!
